Conrad's 5th Birthday

Conrad turned 5 years old today!  Above is a picture of his hand.  I would like to emphasize what a big deal this image represents. I believe that I have mentioned that brain damage can cause some severe deformities and the hands are one of the first to go.  Wrists turn inward with fists clenched to the point that the hand loses hope of functionality  But Conrad can open his hand fully and get it flat on the page which means he will have full use of it someday – he will be able to hold a pencil, shake your hand, hold a beer – you name it. His brain needs just need a bit more healing.  His body is ready for him though! Right now please accept Conrad's high five in celebration of his birthday.
